Ce soir, nous avions rendez-vous après l’école avec Anaïs et son père, Régis. Anaïs est une copine de Micaela. Elles étaient ensemble en petite et en moyenne section à la maternelle. Les deux chipies aiment bien aller au cinéma ensemble. Régis, le père d’Anaïs est dessinateur. Ce soir, il avait quelque chose d’important à nous remettre : sa dernière BD qui vient juste de paraître. J’étais impatiente de la recevoir! C’est un très bel album grand format avec une reliure toilée. Le papier mat est agréable au toucher. Cette BD est le deuxième tome des aventures de Erik de Born. L’action se passe sous le règne de Louis XIV, juste après la révocation de l’Édit de Nantes. L’Édit de Nantes est un document par lequel le roi Henri IV en 1598 reconnaît la liberté de culte aux protestants. Cet édit avait mis fin à la période des guerres de religion qui ont ravagé la France au XVIe siècle. Louis XIV révoqua l’édit en 1685 déclenchant de nombreux troubles et la fuite de 300 000 protestants. C’était intéressant de discuter avec Régis de tout le travail de documentation que son album avait exigé. Il m’a aussi expliqué que son personnage principal qui est en fuite se joint à une troupe de Commedia dell'arte pour suivre son parcours. Et bien sûr, il y a une histoire d’amour. Allez, ce soir, ne me cherchez pas, je pars pour la France de 1685!
