Vous souvenez-vous qu’au mois d’août j’avais envoyé un mailing à mes clients pour leur annoncer la parution de mon prochain ouvrage? J’avais annoncé la parution pour la fin septembre, en prenant soin de tenir compte d’une certaine marge. Il y a toujours des impondérables.
Oui, il y a toujours des impondérables! Je l’ai à nouveau vérifié. Cette fois le dieu des impondérables n’y est pas allé de main morte, il a carrément flingué l’ordinateur de mon père. Et c’est mon père qui réalisait la maquette du livre. Heureusement, mon père est prudent et il avait sauvegardé au fur et à mesure son travail sur une clé USB. Pas si grave donc, me direz-vous? Oui, mais comment fait-on pour terminer un livre sans ordinateur et quand on n’a pas prévu de s’en acheter un neuf?
Mon père est rentré à Paris et nous avons dû prendre une décision. L’autre problème qui était posé par l’achat d’un ordinateur neuf était que celui-ci ne nous aurait pas davantage permis de finir le livre. En effet, mon père travaille sur Mac OS9 qui n’est pas le système d’exploitation en cours sur les Mac.
Finalement, notre fournisseur, Jean-Marc, a proposé une solution à mon père : un ordinateur d’occasion, puissant et rapide, capable de fonctionner en système 9 et en système X. Exactement comme le mien.
Bref, tout s’est arrangé et ce matin, après quelques jours de travail avec mon père, j’ai pu faire partir le livre chez l’imprimeur. Je suis toute excitée et j’attends avec impatience de le recevoir. Surtout que mes clients commencent à s’impatienter.
